The Mountains
Glaciers cover 40 percent of the breathtaking Mount Cook National
Park. With 19 peaks over 3,000 meters high, the Park is home to New
Zealand's highest mountain, Mount Cook. The park is also part of the
Te Wahipounamu - South Westland World Heritage Area - in recognition
of its outstanding natural value.
Wildlife Encounters
New Zealand provides many opportunities to get up close to dolphins,
whales, penguins, albatross and gannet colonies. Kiwi houses can be
found throughout the country, and there are many stunning varieties
of beautiful native birds to be seen New Zealand’s lush bush and
wildlife reserves.
Sports and Activities
Whether you prefer a quiet walk through scenic native bush, an
exhilarating bungy jump, a relaxing game of golf on an international
course or kayaking, New Zealand offers a huge range of activities.
If you're an experienced sailor, you'll also find some challenging
